Hi Everyone!

Well... that went fast. Last week was awesome! An amazing week to finish the mission! So for the last week of the training program you study the doctrine of Christ - our missionary purpose. Being able to study our purpose for my last week with Elder Thompson has been amazing!  We were also able to get 3 new investigators! Wohooooo! It was awesome. We found a mom and her daughter, and an older lady named Dona. Dona was cool. She grew up Jewish, but she has been having health problem lately and so she is just open to anything that will help her. She had such a great desire to learn. It was funny, we brought a member that kept going off on tangents and every time he did, she would direct it back to the lesson. She was awesome. Then yesterday, I was able to see our investigator got baptized! What a great way to end your mission. I am so glad I was able to be part of teaching him. It was an awesome experience!

Well, I love you all and I'll see you soon. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my mission. You are the best!

Hey Everyone!

We have two baptismal dates that are solid. Brother Swansbro is good to go my last Sunday in the mission, and we have a pretty solid date, then Steve, whose date is in October. Mission life: free food, everything falls through, you have no idea what’s going on, but you are always in the right place at the right time. It's funny how that works. Here are some of our experiences the last week and a half or so. There was this one day that we had an appointment with a less active member. It fell through, but there was a chicken running around the street,  we went back to the car quick to get our cameras and took a picture of it. We were just about to leave and this car pulled up. It was members from Texas. They needed help moving some stuff so we were able to help them.
Then we were in this apartment complex. We have this old potential investigator there her name is Daniel. We weren't even there to see her. We were just walking past her door and as we did, she opened it and we actually scared her, haha.  When she realized it was us though she was like oh guys I need some help. So we went in and fixed her computer then shared a message with her.
Then another one that happened, there was another old potential we have from like our second week in the area. We felt like we should stop by, so we did and she was on her way out the door. Her two year old nephew had just died. We left her with two plan of salvation pamphlets one for her and one for her brother. We followed up a couple days later and set up an appointment to teach them tonight! Can't wait! Love you all! 16 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!

Hey Everyone!

I was able to go to the Temple last Saturday to witness one of my converts endowment, Krishawn! It was awesome! It was so cool to be able to go through with her. We are pushing back Brother Swansbro's baptism. It's solid they just need time to do certain things. It's looking like it is going to be scheduled on my last Sunday in the mission. How crazy is that! Baptism - last Sunday. I think that would be cool. Last week we found three new investigators. I was on exchanges with my zone leader Elder Matthews. We went by a potential and they weren't home, so we were knocking around the apartment complex. We found this family and they let us in. Only three of them stayed for the whole lesson, but they are super nice. We'll see where it goes.

We had a crazier miracle. We didn't pick him up as a new investigator yet, but it was super sick. So we decided to look at our former investigators, and there was this guy named Jerry. They dropped him because he wouldn't give up drinking and gambling. I was like well just teach him true doctrine and maybe he can change. So we went over there, and he had some neighbors over and when he saw us he sent them home and let us in. He talked about how he hasn't seen missionaries in a while, and asked us if he could share a story with us. So he is 81 years old right? So one month ago he found out he has a brother he never knew about. His brother is a mormon!. We won’t be able to teach him till the end of this month because he is going to Utah to visit his brother for 2-3 weeks, but he is super excited to learn more. That was cool. Anyway love you all. See you soon. ;)

Hey Everyone!

Last week was crazy awesome! We found 8 new investigators. It was amazing to see the Lord's hand so clearly in all aspects of the work. We have just been able to be in the right places at the right time. There is always someone who needs to talk to us whether they want to take the lessons or not. We are planting a lot of seeds. We picked up a family of 5 last week. The mom isn't too interested for herself, but she is for the kids and the kids are really interested as well. We hope that will go well. We have a lesson with them on Thursday and they are going to feed us on Sunday. Then we also picked up a guy named Raul. He is agnostic, but is super cool, and I think he has some potential. Our baptismal date Brother Swansbro is still looking good for next month. We might move it back like a week, but he'll be baptized. Everything is going super well though. Love you all.

                               My new companion, Elder Thompson

Hey Everyone!

WHOOOOOO! Finally get preparation days again. I do miss being an assistant, or maybe I just miss the Valencia area. I'm back in the Granada Hills zone, in the Van Nuys 1st ward. It is soooooooooooooooooooo ghetto. There are a lot of people willing to listen though. We see miracles down here. So we are having a ton of fun. My new companion is Elder Thompson. He is a new missionary. I'm training for my last two transfers. It has been good. We have a super good area, we are having fun, so all is well. Not much time left, but working hard till the end! This area is sick. We got a new investigator last week. Taught two lessons, and got a baptismal date. We are hoping to see some good things this week as well. We have the full week to work this week, so it'll be awesome!

Hey everyone!

How is everyone doing? This last week wasn’t anything too different. I went on three exchanges, so I basically didn't see Elder Stucki last week. It was pretty good to finally get some good work done in our area though. We found some pretty good potentials so hopefully this week they will turn into new investigators! Cross your fingers! :) I did get to go on exchanges in Van Nuys though. It's always crazy there. That's where amazing things happen! We found a new investigator in their area. It was pretty interesting, so just note that there is a ton of wickedness in Van Nuys. We were talking to him and he was talking about how his parents died a year ago, so we asked him if we could teach him the plan of salvation. He went to go get another chair. The Elder I was with and I look down and there is a porn magazine on his desk, it was like, oh here we go. We got rid of that though and taught him the plan of salvation. We focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then we told him to make it to the celestial kingdom you have to follow these things; do you believe in Christ? He was like yeah. Then I asked are you willing to repent? He said yes, so okay next step is baptism. Are you willing to be baptized? He said yes. It was cool. The companionship set a date with him last weekend. It was great. Hopefully those potentials turn into new investigators in our area this week and it’ll be AWESOME!. Love you all.

Hey everyone!

It has been a very long time. We finally kind of have a Preparation day today. Well, a normal one for us anyway. So a lot has happened in the last 3-4 weeks. I'll try to sum it up pretty short though. On May 4th we had a special stake conference with Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the quorum of the twelve apostles. It was sick! He came up and shook our hands and talked to us for a bit. Then he noticed our investigator and talked to her for a bit as well. It was so awesome! Our investigator that met him is Rebecca Adler. She is doing really well. She wants to get baptized is super solid, but she just got pretty sick. She has a heart problem. Hopefully, she gets better so we can continue to teach her and help her to baptism. We had a lot of zone conferences the last few weeks of the transfer. We are working really hard on teaching simply. We are teaching a generation that hears with their eyes and thinks with their hearts. We are using a lot of pictures to understand, what they understand is then teaching to their understanding. It's harder than it sounds. We talk a lot less now while teaching. Well, overall we are doing great, and all is going well.

Love you all!!!

Elder Larman

PS.

I forgot to tell you, I got in a fight with a baby rattle snake. It was crazy! I almost died! I didn't even see it and I stepped right over it! I almost died!!!!! It was crazy. I'll tell you more details when I get home so mom doesn't die.
