Hey
Everyone!
So, a lot has happened
in the last week. A week ago Elder Alldredge got called as the Assistant to the
President. But this last week was the last week of the transfer. One of the
zone leaders went home a week early to make it to school today. So the zone leader
and I were companionless. We were together last week and I was acting zone
leader. It was a really good experience. We covered both our areas, so we
stayed busy.
This last transfer was
my last transfer of training. President Hall called me yesterday and has asked
me to train. I just got done training and the Lord has seen it fit to trust me
not to ruin the life of a new missionary. I'm not sure if that was the best
idea, but I guess we'll find out. I'm super excited though I can't wait to meet
him. What if I train an 18 year old! I'm starting to get nervous, transfer
meeting is tomorrow and that's when I'll meet him.
President Hall is
really cracking down on obedience right now. He is a great mission
president. But because of this, he is going to have to exchange assistants.
These assistants to the president will be doing exchanges with
missionaries around the mission and will be finding missionaries that are
having trouble and whipping them into shape. So after about 8 days Elder
Alldredge got fired as an Assistant and got made babysitter. No, but that’s
actually a really good thing we need that if our mission is going to hit 1000
baptisms this year. Last year we hit 474 and that was about 30 more than the
year before, and this year we are going to try and double it so we have a lot
of hard work ahead of us.
Anyway, last week I
talked about our investigator Nicole. She is so golden we asked her to be
baptized this last week and she was just waiting to be asked, she always reads,
go to church and everything, but she is 21 years old and we couldn't get her
family involved so we are passing her on to the singles ward.
I hope you all have a
nice week.
Love Elder Larman
