Hey
everybody!
This last Tuesday I
had the opportunity to go to the LA Temple. It's a huge Temple, it was a really
nice experience.
Yesterday, I had my first
baptism. The two Russian girls, Anna and Irina, got baptized. Irina the younger
one asked me to baptize her. It was amazing. Being able to stand there having my
arm raised to the square and saying "Having been commissioned of Jesus
Christ" feeling that power. I know that the Priesthood has been restored
through Joseph Smith. It's so amazing to know that I was able to help two
people start that path to the Celestial Kingdom, and if they get married in the
temple and then have kids who go on missions, think of all those people I'll be
able to rejoice with in the Kingdom of our Father.
All young men who are
not sure if they want to go on a mission, I say become converted and find out
now. In Doctrine and Covenants sections 15 and 16 they say the same exact
thing. The last verse in each one says. And now, behold, I say unto you, that
the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare
repentance unto this people that you may bring souls unto me that you may rest
with them in the kingdom of my Father, Amen. BOOM mind blown, and after this
life serving with all your heart, mind, and strength. Imagine when you return
to the Father in the Celestial Kingdom meeting him. Having his arms open to you
and saying, "Welcome, you've served me well, my little child; come into my
arms to stay." This Christmas as you celebrate Jesus Christ's birth,
remember him as our Savior. He is the light of the world, and as we follow him
and endure to the end we will have eternal life.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
The world didn't end which is good, I guess. I got in a 6 car piled up last
week maybe I'll send pictures.
