Hey Guys,

Sooo, I went to one of the youth’s house the other day as he opened his mission call. His name is Grant Silva, one of the first 18 year old's to the field. Guess where he got called to?  The Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. So, if you ever see an Elder Silva, treat him well.
We actually found people, tracting. We were on splits, so I wasn't there with my companion/trainer, Elder Alldredge. But him and Preston, a member from the ward, were tracting and was invited in a house and taught a lesson and got a return appointment.
We had an awesome experience this week. My companion is very scared of spiders, so I do the bug killing around the house. Well, one night when we got home, we were walking inside and he screamed and was like ahhh!!!  Spider!!! Elder Larman kill it. So I was like cool, cool, I will. I went up to it and I'm like, NOPE, that’s a black widow. So, he decided that he wants to catch it. When we first tried to grab it, it ran into this little pipe, but his little feet were sticking out. I told them, I have a brilliant idea, how about we’ll grab his feet and pull him out with the pliers, so Elder Alldredge did that and the 2 legs came off, so everyone started screaming. Then I had another brilliant idea, why don't we take the hose and squirt him out. Eventually, we got him out, but by the time we caught him, he was dead, so we sat him on fire. It was funny.
Anyway as far as investigators go, when we were on splits, Grant and I were tracting, we didn't teach a lesson like my companion, but we had someone who just move in the area, set a return appointment with us, so that was good. We are teaching a family, the Wray’s. The mom is a member, we are teaching the daughter and son. The daughter for sure wants to be baptized, we just started working with the son, but the dad won't let them get baptized. We are also teaching someone named Rodney, I think I talked a little about him last time but didn't put a name. He is progressing pretty well, but still drinks and smokes. We are also teaching some other people, but since both of us are new to the area it is kind of slow. We are still trying to get in contact with everyone, but it's picking up and I can see great potential in this area. Once it picks up a bit more, I'll have more to say about it. Mom, it’s not that warm of a winter here like you thought. It's like 55 degrees during the day, 30 at night, super windy and I'm on bike, but yes warmer than Minnesota, but come on, it should be warmer here than that.

Love,
Elder Larman
