Hey
guys Happy Turkey Day!
I'm thankful for a chance to serve a mission,
my family, the gospel, the Holy Ghost, The Atonement, my trainer and fellow
missionaries all over the world. What are you guys thankful for?
Remember
when I first got here I told you we were teaching two girls, Eileen and Ronny? They
are 12 and 11. They agreed to be baptized on Nov. 10, but they got in a fight
with the youth who were fellowshiping them and now we have nowhere to teach them.
We are also teaching a 17 year old guy. His name is LJ. He is very smart has a lot
of questions. He asks super deep questions like about Kolob and things like
that. We taught him the first lesson and he realized that the first vision is
the most significant thing that has happened since Jesus Christ came to earth,
if it is true. So, he has been reading the BOM and praying to know if it is
true. We taught him the plan of Salvation, which he finds it very interesting
because he is interested in life after this life. He has a baptismal date for
December 15. He is still praying to know if these things are true, but he
accepted the challenge to be baptized.
Also,
there is a family we have been doing a lot of service for. I'm pretty sure I
have talked a little bit about them. The Swanson family. We have been helping them with their yard,
doing landscaping for them, getting their house ready for them to move. This
family is so mormon they just don't know it. They just have small concerns like, polygamy.
We have only taught them the first lesson, but we helped them a lot and helped
them pack and load. They moved out this last weekend to San Diego. I know that
the Lord has prepared this family so much to receive the gospel. So, we called
our mission office to give the referral to the San Diego mission, so they could
help them unload, then teach them the lessons. I love this family so much and I
hope the missionaries over there will take good care of them. Anyway, everyone
have a good Turkey day.
Love Elder
Larman
