Hello
Everyone,
YOSO,
You Only Serve Once, serve your hardest. So, I'm now out here in California. It
was like 100 degrees when we landed, it has cooled off now though. My first
area is Rancho Vista. I'm right in the middle of the desert. Also, I got
whitewashed my first area. My trainer Elder Alldredge and I are both new to the
area, and the area book records were not the best so we are still trying to
figure out what’s going on. We have met most of the progressing investigators
that the last elders were working on, we think. We taught two girls on Friday. Ilene is 12 and her sister Ronny is 11. They accepted to be baptized, but they would
have to talk to their mom first. We were told they already got permission but
we were pretty sure they haven’t, so we are meeting their mom tonight.
Hopefully their mom will join in on the lessons.
Met
most of the ward members at church yesterday and they were pretty nice. The
stake president is in our ward and we have dinner with them tonight.
The
place I'm staying in is pretty awesome. It is pretty much a 1 floor house. It's
not huge or anything but it is definitely bigger than an apartment. We have our
own washer and dryer so it’s pretty awesome. Did I mention that this is a bike area?
Yeah, that's not fun so I'm grateful for the enabling power of the atonement. I
still miss cars though. Yeah, so that’s pretty much it.
Love,
Elder Larman
