Hey everyone!

So, first thing is I guess is one of my companions, Elder Chaney, is not with us for a week. There is an injured missionary and he is with him till they decide whether or not they are going to send him home. Last week went by really fast once again. Last Tuesday, we were seeing how many people we could contact by tracting. In about 2 and a half hours, we contacted 24 people, which is really good. No new investigators from it, but that's not going to happen if you don't talk to people.

We had Zone Conference on Thursday so that took the whole day. It was a training from President Hall all day. It was really awesome actually. We talked about teaching for conversion and how to teach with power and authority. On Friday, I trained on revelation through the Book of Mormon. At the end I challenged everyone to give out 10 Book of Mormon by next Friday. So to set a good example on Friday and Saturday, I gave out 6. As a mission recently we have been focusing on not only seeing but observing as well.

Let me tell you a story. There was this detective. His name was Sherlock Holmes. He had a companion. His name was Dr. Watson. One day he was complaining because he saw all the same things Sherlock Holmes did, but couldn't figure out the mysteries, and when Sherlock Holmes explains his conclusion, it was always so simple. So Sherlock Holmes says, "You could do what I do, but you don't." They were walking up the stairs to their apartment. "For example, how many times have you walked up these stairs? Sherlock asked. "I don't know, a million times" Watson replied. "And how many steps are there?" "Again, Watson replied, I don’t know.” See, that is the difference between you and me you only see, you don't observe. There are 17 steps up to our apartment."

So I’m working on this lately, as I was observing Alma 32, I found something awesome. In verse 35, the first sentence, Alma says, "Oh then, is not this real?" I testify to you that this is real. That Jesus is the living Christ and our Savior. I testify that the Book of Mormon is true. That Joseph Smith translated it through the power of God. He died to seal his testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. This is Jesus Christ Church, and there is a better life to come. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love, Elder Larman
